Fiction Coffee
Staghorn Ferns

Deck the Hall Street Coffee shop was transformed into Fiction Coffee in January 2018, and the red wall with my December Christmas mural was painted over in black. I met with the Fiction team to understand their vision for the shop's rebrand. Together we came up with this Staghorn Fern concept, inspired by the unique plants inside the shop.
The mural was painted with five colors of exterior paint and spray paint. I came up with this system for blending the colors and carrying them with me in a bucket while up on the ladder.
I used chalk to free-hand the design and then fill it in.
The design wrapped around the side of the building.
I painted the mural over three days, with live painting as part of the shop's grand opening event.
